Making a Cathedral Square Pendant

I’m excited to share that I am a part of the Making Zen community this year. Making Zen is an online conference that focuses on slow stitching and fiber arts, but there is actually a lot of variety in the courses that are offered every retreat. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I have participated in this conference every time I get a chance and have shared some of my creations here on Cry The Bird. I am thrilled to be a teacher this time, hosting a workshop of my very own.

Today, on May 5, 2026, my workshop entitled, “Making a Cathedral Square Pendant,” goes live at 10 AM CT And will be available for FREE for roughly 24 hours. If that’s not enough time to complete this or other classes, a VIP pass is available for purchase through the end of the week. This VIP pass offers you lifetime access to all the workshops available for free this week and additional bonus content from every artist/teacher participating and access to select past courses. For my VIP pass contribution I’ve created a cathedral square needle book tutorial for you.

I hope you’ll join me today in this free workshop and that you will consider participating in the other workshops available this week. The VIP pass is a considerable benefit if you like taking online classes Or are interested in the fiber arts. The VIP Pass gives you access to over 100 different things to do and make.

To sign up for free classes through May 8th, 2026, or upgrade to a VIP pass visit: https://www.makingzen.com/a/2148242104/iF9JS6pt

And, there’s a special interview with me and Making Zen organizer and creator Kate Ward available if you want to hear the inspiration behind the pattern I’ve created as well as a little bit more about me as an artist.
