My work lands safely in South Korea!

I received news this week that the artwork I have in the “New App: Contemporary Art in Appalachia” exhibit featuring ETSU Department of Art & Design faculty and graduate students has arrived in Ulsan, South Korea where the exhibit is being installed. As my very first international exhibition, I’m pretty excited.

The work on display is from my “Charting A Course” series, one of very few pieces to feature red birds.

The timing of all this makes me realize I need to get back out in the show circuit badly. I have two exhibition submission deadlines to meet tomorrow as part of my effort to ween my way back in slowly. I’m starting to find a rhythm in terms of my teaching career, it’s high time I start establishing a new one for my artistic career as well.

Nothing like an international line in my C.V. to peak my appetite for a bit more exposure. And, there’s no time like the present…
